During the Games in Paris, the Friday Outreach team mobilised for a series of unique events, combining sporting activities, moments of prayer and evangelism. This initiative provided an opportunity to share the love of Christ in a festive setting, while inviting participants to connect spiritually and physically with their environment and others.

Each day was an opportunity to meet new people, pray together and witness to God’s love in creative and engaging ways. Parasports, a symbol of resilience and overcoming limits, provided an ideal setting for proclaiming the message of freedom and transformation in Christ.

Monday: Breakfast at Montmartre and Evangelism

The week began in Montmartre, one of the most picturesque areas of Paris. Over a coffee with a breathtaking view of the city’s rooftops, the team took a moment to pray and prepare spiritually. After this time of renewal, the members of Friday Outreach went out to meet passers-by to share the Gospel, with passion and authenticity.

Tuesday: Freedom in Christ at the Statue of Liberty

The following day, the Statue of Liberty served as the symbolic venue for this day centred on the theme of freedom in Christ. After a time of prayer, the team shared deep conversations with people curious to know more about the spiritual freedom that Christ can offer. It was a powerful moment when grace and hope were communicated to those they met.

Wednesday: Sports, Coffee and Evangelism in the Park

On Wednesday, the event took a sporting turn with a fitness and stretching session in a Paris park. This event was an opportunity to combine physical well-being and spiritual connection. Not only were participants able to recharge their batteries, but they were also able to invite others in the park to join them. This relaxed approach opened up discussions about faith in a welcoming and caring environment.

Thursday and Friday: Evangelism

Thursday and Friday marked the end of the week with evangelistic outings. After the sporting activities and more informal moments of connection of the first few days, the team concentrated on deeper exchanges about faith. They walked the streets, engaged in conversations, and shared messages of hope and comfort with passers-by. These two days made it possible to reach a wider audience, to deepen the discussions begun earlier in the week, and to create moments of listening and sincere sharing around spirituality.

A week of transformation

The week of outreach around the Games with Friday Outreach was marked by authentic encounters, intense times of prayer and generous sharing of the Gospel. The events organised reached out to people from all walks of life, in iconic locations across Paris. It was a unique opportunity to show God’s love, in a spirit of joy, compassion and communion.

Friday Outreach succeeded in creating an inspiring dynamic throughout the week, leaving a lasting spiritual mark on those who took part or crossed their path.
