Why I loved walking for Jesus

Saturday May 25, 2024 will remain engraved in my memory as an exceptional day of faith and fraternity. The March for Jesus, which brought together nearly 21,000 people in Paris according to police figures, was a unique moment of communion, with police figures surpassing even those announced by the organizers. This is perhaps the only event where this situation occurs, and it’s a testament to the scale and success of the event.
What particularly touched me during this walk was the feeling that Jesus was really walking with us. Every step of the way, his presence was felt amidst the songs, prayers and beaming faces of the participants.
Another aspect that made a deep impression on me was the youthful presence. Seeing so many young people committed, passionate and determined to express their faith publicly is a tremendous source of hope for the future of our Christian community. Their enthusiasm and energy were contagious, reminding everyone that faith in Christ is alive and kicking.

The ethnic diversity of the audience was also remarkable. People of all origins and cultures united by the same faith, celebrating together in perfect harmony. This mosaic of faces is a true reflection of the universality of the Christian message.

It was a great joy to find pastors and even a priest among the participants. Their presence reinforced the sense of unity and solidarity between different Christian denominations. It showed that, despite our differences, we all walk for Jesus, through Jesus and with Jesus.

My warmest congratulations to the organizers of this event. Their dedication and hard work helped create an atmosphere of peace and goodwill. The exchanges were full of kindness and goodness, with countless “Bless you” echoing along the way.

This year’s event was particularly lively, with 11 trucks, each accompanied by a band that sang and got the crowd singing along. The melodies intertwined in divine harmony, creating a festive and spiritual atmosphere along the way. It was very beautiful.

The march ended with a joyous celebration on the lawn of La Muette. No, we didn’t stay silent – far from it! Joy and good humor were the order of the day, and some even began to imagine that Jesus might have joined us for a giant picnic that we could perhaps have next time?

To top it all off, the big concert at the end, hosted by Glorious, really set the place alight. Their exceptional performance, accompanied by those of Mirella and Hillsong Youth FR, set hearts aflame. What’s more, Princess of The King shared the Word of God with great conviction, adding spiritual depth to this joyous celebration.

In conclusion, this Walk for Jesus was an exemplary demonstration of faith and a celebration of Christian diversity and unity. I sincerely hope there will be even more of us next year, to continue bearing witness to our faith with such fervor and joy.

May God bless all those who took part, and may His love continue to guide and inspire us.
