What do you do when your city prepares to welcome the Olympic Torch and everyone seems to be focused on that alone? You get yourself invited to the party!

That’s just what the Evangelical Protestant church of Nogent-sur-Oise did on July 18th!
When the town proposed the idea of an “Olympic Village” run by the town’s associations the church was one of the first to offer their help!

Representing the cultural association of the church (ACCES) over 20 volunteers showed up (on a week day) to display their skill at face painting, bracelet creation and balloon sculpting. “Kids” of all ages were able to try their hand at “Human Fusball”!

The group games that attracted crowds for a good part of the day!

If the goal was for Christ’s church to be more “visible” in the community, showing that, yes, Christians know how to have fun too, it was clear by the response of the crowd and the local authorities that the goal was achieved!

Praise the Lord for this opportunity to show the love of Christ in a concrete way.
