From August 21 to 26, 2024, a giant barbecue took place in Lille, bringing together hundreds of people in a warm and friendly atmosphere. This event, which exceeded all expectations, was marked by exceptional mobilization and deep fellowship among participants.

Unprecedented Mobilization

Each day, we needed 70 workers to run the event, but we were blessed with 80 to 90 teammates daily. This influx of volunteers, coming from various communities, created a unique atmosphere of sharing and solidarity.

Over 2,000 Meals Distributed

During these six days in Lille, more than 2,000 meals were distributed free of charge. Beyond simply providing food, this event became a significant opportunity to spread the Gospel. Conversations around the grills touched many hearts, and we witnessed several conversions on-site. The spiritual impact confirms that this year’s giant barbecue was an exceptional success.

A Legacy That Spreads

The enthusiasm generated by this event in Lille doesn’t stop here. Several churches have already expressed their desire to replicate this initiative in other cities across France, extending the vision and impact of these community barbecues.
